Lend a Helping Hand to
Children of the World

Children in El Salvador and Guatemala are in need of white shirts and socks to wear to school.  This is the children's mandatory school uniform. Parent's discretionary funds are tight, so to not have to spend this money on white shirts and socks is deeply appreciated.  Scroll down the to the section below the boxes for more information.
Volunteers help sort donated items and fill weekly orders which are given to local care providers to for families in need.  In addition volunteers repair and clean donations, and help with purchasing new items at the best prices.  All cash donations go directly to purchasing formula, diapers, foods, etc.  No salaries are paid.   Some of their consistently needed items are: cloth and disposable diapers, formula, baby food, baby care items, new socks and underwear, new car seats, gently used children's clothing to size 18, blankets, strollers, towels, toys, and new cribs.
"On April 26, 1986 Ukraine and the earth recoiled from the world's worst nuclear disaster which spewed out 400 time the radioactive fallout of the Hiroshima atomic bomb.  More than a decade has passed and the effects of this disaster continue and actually increase.  In fact, hundreds of thousands, mostly children, are still suffering with physical and psychological disorders.  I do not want to forget them."  Read more about Chernobyl at this site.
